Linda Way was born in Vancouver, B.C. Canada. The beauty of the mountains, the islands along the Strait of Georgia, and Stanley Park at her doorstep, influenced her love of nature. She was encouraged to express herself in artwork by her mother, an accomplished artist.
During high school in Mountain View Linda was the recipient of a home-study scholarship with Art Instruction Schools in Minneapolis. Her advancement in Commercial Art paved the way for her career to develop after graduation from Foothill College in Los Altos Hills. Her travels in Europe, Greece and Morocco influenced her artistic journey and her development as a fine artist and graphic designer. She was employed by advertising agencies and private studios in the South Bay and also freelanced.
Linda’s watercolors, sketches and acrylic paintings of the beauty of Sonoma County encourage her to exhibit many award-winning paintings. Our community of prolific artists is inspirational to her and workshops taken with Mike Bailey, Gerald Brommer, Lynn Slade and Christopher Schink have encouraged new endeavors.
